Firstly, to establish a baseline of knowledge, delegates take both our Leading on Child Safeguarding and Leading on Adult Safeguarding online courses (total 2 hours and included in the price), followed up by a one hour live session with one of our safeguarding experts, arranged at a mutually convenient date and time, which covers their roles and responsibilities when working with working with children, young people and adults at risk.

  • Relevant regulatory requirements including OFSTED, CQC and the Charity Commission
  • Safeguarding competence and safer working practices
  • Dealing with sensitive and challenging situations: bespoke case scenarios linking to the organisation's safeguarding policy and procedures

This course includes a comprehensive digital training pack and certificate of attendance, valid for 3 years, for each delegate.

The course also meets the educational criteria required for Levels One and Two required for verifiable enhanced Continuing Professional Development under the General Dental Council's Lifelong Learning Scheme. It represents 7 hours of verifiable CPD, learning outcomes A and D. This course is continuously updated to reflect the latest versions of the Care Act and related Care and support statutory guidance, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Keeping Children Safe in Education, What to do if you're worried a child is being abused, Ofsted, Care Quality Commission (CQC), Charity Commission, local Safeguarding Partnership, Board and/or Committee requirements and local equivalents across the UK, including the Channel Islands.
