Safeguarding for Trustees - Ensuring Compliance

These courses are priced per delegate and can be booked direct (please use drop down to choose the date of the live training) or via Eventbrite. Online course needs to be completed prior to the live training date. Bookings close one week before the scheduled date. Pricing is per delegate and is fully inclusive.

Run entirely on line, individuals and small numbers of people can now access our blended learning courses at a very reasonable cost. These courses are strictly limited to 10 attendees to maintain the quality and effectiveness of the live online training session.

After booking, please let us know the areas in which your charity works, so that the live online session can be prepared to address those issues most relevant to you and other attendees. Feel free to email us with any particular questions you would like addressed.

Firstly, to establish a baseline of knowledge, delegates take our one hour Safeguarding for Trustees - Ensuring Compliance online course (included in the price), followed up by a 1.5 hour Zoom session with one of our safeguarding experts, date and time as stated, which covers the key issues for Trustees' roles and responsibilities within their charity:

Programme:

  • Welcome and introductions
  • Quick fire safeguarding quiz
  • Key steps in safer recruitment
  • Managing concerns and allegations at strategic level
  • Safeguarding competence and safer practices
  • Short case scenarios
  • What and where is the safeguarding risk?
  • Questions

The course also includes a comprehensive digital training pack and certificate of attendance, valid for 3 years, for each delegate.

This course is continuously updated to reflect the latest versions of the Care Act and related Care and support statutory guidance, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Keeping Children Safe in Education, What to do if you're worried a child is being abused, Ofsted, Care Quality Commission (CQC), Charity Commission, local Safeguarding Partnership, Board and/or Committee requirements and local equivalents across the UK, including the Channel Islands.

SAFEcic offers training only in the specific, complex area of safeguarding. Every live training session we deliver (including these courses) is tailored to the particular needs of the people attending, and is presented by professionals with years of experience in Safeguarding.

Our Trainers are expert in the subject being delivered, and they are also excellent presenters. They have in-depth knowledge and you can have confidence in the information and advice given in both the course and in response to questions. If you require a course associated with Safeguarding which we have not listed, please get in touch. We would be happy to provide a quotation for you.
